Current Status

Currently we are planning the future extensions for Bloof 2. It will propably occur next year. Unti then, improvements and fixed are going to happen on the Bloof 1 branch.

19 October 2003 - Bloof 1.0 is released!

After a month of testing and doing some bug fixes, the 1.0 Version finally is released. The main changes are:

• Extending the metric interface. Now, a metric can be asked which types of parameters it accepts.

10 September 2003 - Bloof 0.1 is released!

0.1 is the first stable version of Bloof. There have been some essential changes:

• Implement a plugin mechanism for the metrics.
• Implement openProject() and exportProject() in seperate Threads.

01 July 2003 - Bloof 0.1 Beta 6 is released!

0.1 Beta 6 is the next-to-release version of Bloof. No essential features will be added until 0.1 is released. The changes made for 0.1 beta 6:

• Split Bloof and Bloof Browser into to projects.
• Added a configuration file.
• Improved the downloader.

01 June 2003 - Bloof 0.1 Beta 5 is released!

0.1 Beta 5 is mainly a performance improvement release

• Speeded up internal database access.
• Improved handling of errors.
• Added PostgreSQL database access.

05 March 2003 - Bloof 0.1 Beta 4 is released!

0.1 Beta 4 is mainly a performance improvement release

• Speeded up internal database access.
• Improved handling of errors.
• Added PostgreSQL database access.

24 February 2003 - Bloof 0.1 Beta 3 is released!

0.1 Beta 3 had some serious bugs. They are fixed by this relase. Furthermore 0.1 Beta 3 includes:

• Loading cvs log file from local disk
• Auto-download dependencies. The binary distribution no longer contains all dependencies. Instead, it is shipped with a downloader that fetches the necessary dependencies on first start-up.

20 February 2003 - Bloof 0.1 Beta 2 is released!

The after-release minor bugfix small improvements release Beta 2 is finished in time. It includes:

• Starting Bloof by Java Webstart Technology
• Start script for Linux

13 February 2003 - Bloof 0.1 Beta 1 is released!

The first Bloof release ever is ready. Hopefully not the last. It includes:

• Bloof Application, a functional Java Swing Application for Bloof.
• First set of metrics, like lines of code, change impact and a summary information for every subtree or file.
• Direct access of Cvs respositories via rsh, ssh and psever.
• Data storage in internal McKoi-Database
